Teleworking from home is increasingly becoming a reality for many workers. We share exciting ideas on how to decorate a homework office beautifully.
All White
White walls, furniture, and accessories make the home office calm and harmonious. It is especially true for people who work with visual information and color, for example, for designers and artists – the absence of accents and an oversaturated visual environment allows the nervous system to relax and “zero” perception. Well, such an office looks very stylish – the monochrome interior is permanently restrained and exciting.
Texture
Natural textures can become cozy details in the workspace. How do you add them to the interior? Choose furniture made from rough-finished wood, wood floors, or wall cladding. But you can add a natural touch to the interior in a more budgetary way – use wicker straw baskets as organizers for papers and office supplies.
Bright Accent
Cabinet doesn’t have to be boring! On the contrary, a small but bright accent stimulates the imagination and helps get creative with work tasks. It can be a painting, a small carpet with a great pattern, or a neon-bright shelving unit. It is advisable to make small interior details so bright – this will make it easy and without regrets to replace them with something new if they have time to get bored.
Mirror
Often a tiny room or even just a corner is assigned to a study at home. The wall in front of your eyes does not seem like a deaf obstacle. Hang a mirror on it above the table level. A picture will help to create perspective and “breakthrough” the wall visually. In this case, landscapes or abstractions with the illusion of depth are preferable.
Weightless Storage
To not overload the space with massive wooden shelves, we can replace them with transparent glass. Solid and thick, it will still look much lighter than shelves made from other materials. A big plus in using glass shelves is that if you used accent wallpaper or paint color behind them, such shelves will not “interrupt” this background: it will seem to be one, and the shelves – weightless.
Sculptural Table
Forget about standard office desks – they are utterly devoid of character! Your office will speak volumes about your personality if you choose a table with exciting carvings, extravagant geometry, or an unusual combination of materials. But do not forget, there should be one accent in the room – if the table has impressive decor, the rest of the interior details should be calm and background.
Green Color
If the work is stressful or involves prolonged eye strain, try using green in the office design – it relaxes and calms. For a solid color of the walls, choose deep, noble green shades like a bottle, emerald, spruce. Herbal and light green shades look great in plant prints.
