The new game from FromSoftware contains a large number of talismans, and collecting them all is quite challenging. However, collecting the most powerful talismans in the game is considerably easier and more beneficial, so we’ve included a full guide to their locations and uses.
The Elden Ring has nearly a hundred talismans in total, but you only need eight of them to earn the Legendary Talismans award. Some are readily available, allowing you to gain massive power early in the game, while others take a long time to unlock. Fortunately, unlike conventional talismans, which are normally unique to one mission or another, they can all be obtained in a single game.
Legendary Talisman Locations
Radagon’s Seal of Pain
Effect:+5 energy, stamina, strength, and dexterity; nevertheless, the damage is taken rises (by a token amount). It is one of the best talismans in the game, and it can be used in any of the builds.
Location: The second component of the Dectus Medallion can be found deep in the fort east of Dragon’s Mound (Caelid). If you go to the teleportation portal buried in the bushes at the end of the tiny river below Marika’s third church to go to the north of the mound, then go south to the fort, you can grab it fairly quickly. Location: After fighting Radagon’s Wolf at the academy, Liurnia. He exits the boss area by turning right, then right again to reach the ladder. On the other side of the damaged glass, go up and through the broken window to find a chest with the icon inside.
Godfrey Icon
Effect: Increases the effectiveness of charged spells and abilities by about 15%.
Location: Obtained on the Altus Plateau, a little east of the Dectus, in the Eternal Dungeon. Godfrey, a super-powerful version of Godrick, must be defeated. To go to this location, you’ll need stone blade keys.
Moon Nokstella
Effect: Memory slots are increased by two. In this game, that’s rather pointless.
Location: The Eternal City is hidden in a chest beneath the massive throne at the bottom of Nokstella. In the Ainsel River’s second tributary. You must go through all of the depths and then climb the stairs to the left when you reach Nokstella.
Marika’s Bruised Seal
Effect: +5 Vitality, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane; however, this increases the amount of damage taken (by a small amount).
Location: The Holy Tree brace follows the Malenia Holy Tree in the Elphael region. Descend one level to a door on the bottom right that is obstructed by a Keyblade barrier that must be dismantled. The talisman is kept in a chest nearby.
Dragon Shield Talisman
Effect: In PvE, greatly enhances resistance to physical damage; the amount depends on protection, but often ranges from 25% to 15%.
Location: The Holy Tree brace follows the Malenia Holy Tree in the Elphael region. After the grace point of the escape zone, near the conclusion of the region. Continue walking over the stone pillars and roots until you reach the church’s roof. Pass through the side hole to a beam, and from there, reach the platform with the chest near the back of the church.
Talisman of the Old Lord
Effect: The duration of spells and enchantments is increased by 30%.
Location: Instead of going to the boss in Farum Azula, you must explore the depths of the building opposite the fallen bridge. It’s in the tower to the northeast of the area, in a chest.
Seal of the World Tree +2
Effect: +4 points of health, +9.5 points of resistance, and +8 points of equipment charge.
Location: To obtain this talisman, you must have upgraded the world tree and accomplished Farum Azula. It can be found in Ash’s capital. To get there, start at the Forbidden Lands grace point east of the capital, then head in the opposite direction all the way to the little lake to the right of the location, which was once chimera-infested. The lake is now completely covered with ash, and the talisman is perched atop a shattered log. However, you must be cautious since there are three concealed corrupted giants waiting to ambush you.
